Installinf Sirius Without a Deck??

Postby KAOTIC » Sun Jan 06, 2008 7:51 pm

Is there anyway to install a portable sirius radio setup without having to install a deck? I would like to install the sirius, and some way to fire some speakers with it.
Is there a amp, or module out there that the sirius would plug into, then have the module / amp fire the speakers?
Thank you for any replies!

A Sirius setup works exactly the same way as an Ipod hookup. They both use a 3.5mm jack for the line out - amp (get one with a volume control you can mount on your dash) - amp to speakers. Run your antenna wire up your cage and mount the antenna on the roof. Done deal. Works perfect.

Run a search for ipod hookups for more info.

Also, you need to tap into the power for the Sirius unit....

pretty easy.....

You can see some of the components they used to get an idea of what you need

Any one of these stereo kits on BRPs site work great. I suggest getting one with a sub if you want good sounding music, if you just want to hear something the front speakers alone work great.

Our Ipod kits would work great. the input jack for an IPod is exactly the same as those used on most Sirius units. Also, we've got an option that will let you plug both Ipod and Sirius units in and switch between them. Call us at 619-561-5000, and ask for Jason, he's the stereo kit guru.

KAOTIC, just noticed you're from Lake Havasu. Have you visited our store out there/

I have not visited your store yet. I just drove by it last week. I was set up next to your group last year at the Havasu truck show that was held close to the channel at the park.
I was also a vendor there, Kaotic Klothing. I gave your guys a few of my shirts, hats. Freebies.
You had some very nice rides out there. My son knows the guys working at your store.
I will visit one day after work.
